Day Retreats

Struggling with sleep, stress, or the pace of modern life? Join me for a Day Retreat and explore how to return to rest naturally. Through gentle yoga, nervous system–regulating practices, time in nature, and simple stress-relief techniques, you’ll experience practical ways to restore balance in body and mind.

Sleep remains a central theme, as the quality of our rest often reflects the state of our nervous system. Each retreat is hosted in peaceful, nourishing environments and may include trusted collaborators, offering space to slow down, reconnect with nature, and learn supportive practices that help you return to deeper rest, both during the night and throughout the day.

Nature to Nurture Day Retreat

Day Retreat – Saturday 9th May, 1pm – 8.30pm

The Nature to Nurture Day Retreat is a gently structured afternoon and evening designed to support nervous system restoration and healthier sleep rhythms. The experience weaves together time in nature, practical learning, shared nourishment, and deeply restful practices.

We begin with a guided excursion to Lough Luman, allowing the body to settle through movement, landscape, and fresh air. Time outdoors helps regulate the nervous system naturally and prepares the body for the slower pace of the evening ahead.

Returning indoors, we explore an accessible and science-informed introduction to Sleep Personality Styles, helping you understand how your own nervous system approaches rest and recovery.

We then break bread together over dinner, creating space to connect and reflect before the day concludes with a deeply restorative sleep-focused yoga practice, designed to settle the body and prepare the system for genuine rest.

This retreat invites you to notice what truly supports your system, leaving you with practical tools and a clearer understanding of how to work with your own rhythms beyond the day itself.

A Holistic Approach

Each retreat offers a slightly different rhythm and depth of experience. The “Nature to Nurture” Day Retreat begins with a grounding hill walk in nature before moving indoors for a learning session on the nervous system and practices that support deep rest. The day continues with gentle movement and restorative yoga, allowing the pace to gradually slow and creating space to unwind and integrate the body’s newly found natural rhythms.

A longer, more immersive experience is the “Sunrise to Slumber” Retreat. Beginning the day in alignment with the body’s circadian rhythm, the retreat follows the natural arc of our bio-rhythms through learning, outdoor activity, reflection and shared experience, gradually slowing into gentle practices and deep rest. These experiences help support the body’s natural return to healthy, restorative sleep.

Sleep Recovery Background

My approach to sleep support is rooted in specialist training with Lisa Sanfilippo, author of Yoga Therapy for Insomnia and Sleep Recovery. I completed her immersive teacher training in London in 2016 and continue to deepen my understanding through annual integration calls with the Sleep Recovery community. This training offers a structured six-part program and personalised consultation framework, which I now blend with my own experience in energy healing and bodywork.

You can find me listed as a certified practitioner on the Sleep Recovery website. If you’d like to explore personalised support, you can book a one-to-one consultation using the link below.
